I havent had a problem with any of my IX midsoles at all except signs of creasing from basketball and doing whatever. Ive been wearing my CDP IX's constantly since they dropped and they are still perfect no paint chipping or creasing at all on the midsole.

They are just shoes people. If the paint job is jacked up and the leather is shiny just leave em on the shelves. Dont buy them and whine about the problem that you know they have.

Finishline has the Powder in stock. I would return them for a refund and try them out

No they don't. People make it seems if shoes aren't OG's there wrong in everyway nowadays. I've worn mine and had no problems and they are comfortable aswell

im not sold on the whole Infrared package at all. I have the Varsity VI's from earlier this year and i think im just pick the White/Varsity Red VI's up and go on about my way. JB has flooded us with trash, gimmicks and useless release time after time.
