I got mine yesterday and step in fit/feel is better than the EE2. It's still super squishy and bouncy but slightly more stable than the EE2 (which just means its unstable vs. wildly unstable :lol:). Fun to run in but not aggressive at all for a racer.
Megablast is more versatile than the SB2 or SB3. Decent at easy paces and longer runs, but handles speedwork and racing better than any of the SB series. SB3 is much softer than the Megablast and noticeably softer, bouncy and less stable than the SB2. SB2 felt dead to me and was a letdown from...
ACG Zegamas seem like they'd be much better than the ACG Ultraflys for hiking--less stiff, deeper lugs, and just generally more comfortable if you're going to be on your feet for a while.
The upper looks narrow, but accommodates my slightly wide feet fine. It's a tad long, but given the taper at the toes, if it was shorter, it might make your pinky toe uncomfortable. Overall, it's a pretty comfortable shoe taking into account the retro silhouette (narrow and flat outsole) and...
They've been using different variations of Zoom X for different applications. The Zoom X in the Ultrafly 2 is not the same as the one in the VF/AF which is different than what's used in the V+, etc.
Got some Azuras last week and put about 6 miles on them so far. Very well cushioned and fairly bouncy but on the firmer side, sorta like the Megablast, though the MB is bouncier and more fun (and a lot more expensive).
