The shoes are legit, the box should be the last thing you should worry about. As long as my shoes is legit couldn't careless about which box they come in imo.

I'd say just use them as beater OP, use them 'til the sole comes off. Just clean the shoe up a bit and wash the laces you've got yourself a decent beater.
