I had been hoopin in the Kobe v's and vi's then I got two pairs of hyper fuse lows on discount at a Nike outlet.. My Kobe's are kinda getting dusty, if you like feeling low to the court and light shoes, the are phenomenal!

Yeah, that paint is pretty thin, and then I use a really fine lining brush to paint the edges of the color lines.

I have seen the hightop all whites up on ebay pretty reasonable.

Lets see your pictures, it may be the backdrop playing tricks on you.  It is definitely purple.

Thin coats, and using the right paint. 30 plus wears and they still look perfect, no cracks.
