"Parody is the highest form of flattery...." I just saw someone did another grape custom, but painted the tongue instead. Felt pretty honored to have my work copied! Pretty decent job, I can't stop wearing mine lol!
guys like I have mentioned a couple of times, I don't use angelus or some special mixed paint, I pre mixed custom createx colors for my grapes. If you need work done, that would be awesome let me know!
I just removed the tongue with an exacto blade then stitched it back with high gauge needles and upholstery thread. The paint is createx air brush paint.
That means a lot to me, I have followed your customs for a long time. Also the midsole is holding up as I stripped off the factory paint down to the foam using acetone.
Thanks again!

I bought a pair off of a buddy to help him out (white/ blue) and wore them to hoop in. Actually not that uncomfortable at first, but by the end of the night my feet were screaming.
I bought a pair of the XI's and love wearing them, so comfortable compared to the last couple XI retros. Never had the VI's but would love to find a cheap pair to restore!
I disagree, since the concords dropped back in the day they are the shoe that everyone thinks about. A lot of guys love the black and reds, myself included, but when you think of XI's you think of the concords.
@johnandrew07 I didn't use a stencil, the key is to use small lining brush, like you get at any craft store. Anyway, ask away, I am enjoying the positive response. Also if anyone needs some work done on these or other sneakers for restoration I am available.
I free handed it. No tape cause they had the grooves, but I used createx air brush paint that I mixed. I wore them to teach in the other day and had students doing double takes lol!
Here is the back story, I forgot on release date in 2006 about the grapes coming out. I hadn't forgot about that decision since. After the release, I came across a pair of size 10.5's and I tried as hard as I could to squeeze into them. I even removed the insole with no luck. I usually wear...
I have done a couple pairs of my V's but the tend to accept the dye a little slower. I thought all of the clear soles were the same, maybe it was because those V's were older, and tougher, but it takes a bit more time for these to seep in.
