If JB used foam sparingly and the right way it would be a good idea. I think that JB hasn't used foam before because they try to have a sophisticated shoerather than a tech driven shoe, if that makes sense.

^ I have those baseball trainers above and I love them. Also the tongue cover is removable so if you don't need it you can take it off.
