Glad your family made it through what must have been an unimaginably emotional and stressful time. The birthday pic is priceless. And nice kicks too 8) Be sure to post her first pair of dunks (I enjoy buying shoes for my son more than for myself - even though he beats them incredibly quickly).
Good point, but I’m not holding my breath for any state AGs to sue sneaker bots. (The NY AG sued the companies running bots, not Ticketmaster. And, there is a federal law and a NY law outlawing ticket bots; not sure it would apply to sneaker bots even though the situation is analogous.)
These are all great ideas for consumers. However, there is little incentive for retailers to invest this kind of time and effort - all they care about is moving inventory, and if it sells, I doubt they care much whether a bot or a SB-head buys it.
I feel ya. I went the eBay route as much as I despise resell. I was too late to the Tactics drop today (even though their customer service said they were an in-store release only when I contacted them on 12/21).
On Staple’s site as part of the “12 Days of XMas” collection. Seems like it was a very limited run, or the bots ate instantly - there were like 3 sizes left when I added to cart (1 was my size). But after redirect to waiting page, cart loaded and they were OOS.
