lighting in my house is low and my DSLR is set at a higher contrast. no editing.. low light and contrast made the infrared like that

when I shoot the waves w/ my Canon 7D, I use an AQUATECH IMAGING SOLUTIONS water housing. I use Gopro Studio and sometimes imovie or final cut pro. edition all depends on what type of video you plan to do.
