I'm glad you haven't had any issues and hope your good luck holds there in the future.
I do remember buying the black/red 13s at the Champs there around June 1998. Better days for me and the mall, LOL.
OK, but I've been going to University Mall since 1982, and to navigate what's left of it I definitely recommend bringing some mace and a Taser, for starters.
The Xs are the only classic release that I don't have a pair of so I seriously considered getting these, but the grainy pebble-leather is a deal break, I just don't like that at all.
Plus financially I should only get a pair every two months or so and I just copped the Infra VIs. So a close...
I respect anyone who likes these, and as a financial investment to resell they will surely be well worth it, but the all-red color turns me off. From an aesthetic point of view, not even close to white/infras.
For me, it's because back in December, I tried to get the XIs and was totally crushed, couldn't get through until long after they were sold out, so I made some adjustments to my online game and was eager to try them out.
So I was thrilled when my new strategy for beating others to the punch...
Yep ... I remember in May 1999 strolling in to a Footlocker in New Orleans about 6 hours after the Black/Red retro IVs were released and having my choice of size 12 and 13. Tried both on and got the 13s, nobody else was in the store buying them.
I got this e-mail from Eastbay, does this mean I'm good?
Title: Your Eastbay Order Confirmation
"Your order was successfully received and we’re processing it for you right now!"
I got one pair in the cart at Eastbay ... they say I have estimated 2 hours and 20 minutes until I get to checkout. Am i doomed?
PS - big ups to #BryonRussellHustle for the Firefox "enter" tip, without that the shoe never gets in my cart.
Can anyone give a beaten brother a tip? I was on eastbay, at the shoe link, right at 8am EST. Clicked on my size and add to cart instantly, as soon as the countdown clock hit zero. Immediately got "sorry, there was an error attempting to add item to your cart". Kept trying every 5 seconds for...
Several people have said this, but i wonder why that would be the case. Why would wearing these shoes make it less likely that the foam will crumble? Maybe a chemist can explain it. :)
In case you missed it, I posted pics of my Ndestrukt collection early last year. Of the 11 shoes shown, only #1, #3, and #6 remain, the others have crumbled. Here's the link:

Yes. IMO, the quality of the retros is just not up to snuff. I found this out when i compared the black/red 12 retros I got a few years ago to the OGs that I've had since 1997. The OGs were built like tanks, the retros were made of this weird, light, rubbery substance that in no way resembled...
Yeah, good catch on that. What I meant to say (LOL) was that 4s from 99 were the first retros during the internet era, when shoe collecting became like a recognized critical-mass community. But yes, the Is, IIs, and IIIs were retroed inn 94, and as a sign of those times, many went unsold and...
