I've never heard of such a thing.  Are you suggesting that nike SBs have better arch support?  I'm not sure about that.

Yes, it's light grey, and the crimson has an infrared appearance which I absolutely love. 

I undeadstocked these beauties today. They're one of my favorite colorways on the trainer silhouette. It's underrated in my opinion, which is a good thing as I was able to obtain them this year for a great price.

The night factors are my favorite out of the three you mentioned.   To answer your question, I prefer the burgundys.  From my experience, I've been able to pair them with more outfits than the unis.   

My interpretation is that nike is referencing the typical color of a sail for boats, which is usually off-white, cream, or bone.
