I'd never heard of them or knew that Pharrell was in the group, or that The Neptuns came out of this until this thread, so I guess that makes them underrated to me. And I thought I knew things...
Doing battle raps and freestyle contests can't help the lack of friendliness. If you're competitive, you wanna win. Especially when the other guy is talking smack about you in front of hundreds of people (even if it's only for entertainment purposes).
Listening to this gets me even more pumped up for The Lox's new album this year.

The problem is that there's more music than ever being released now. So even if it's the same percentage that's good and bad as it was 30 years ago, there's gonna be more bad rap albums because there's more total releases. And if you listen to all rap records that come out and only the best...
