Picked up these gems from a local thrifter last week; a deadstock pair of 2002 velour Prestos. I've nicknamed them the 'Pooh Bears'.

Can anybody with an OG pair in hand confirm if the heel clip runs higher on the lateral side than on the medial side? I have seen some pics online of OG pairs and in some instances It looks like the heel clip runs higher on the lateral side. Would love to hear some expert opinions.

Just for me personally, it wasn't the actual Hello Kitty design that made me want them, it was the cultural significance and the backstory of the shoes themselves. Had to have a little family reunion! I was nervous when I heard they were doing a new Hello Kitty colorway, but the end result is incredible.

Does anybody have a clear picture of the tongue construction on the OG pair? I noticed it changed when they started retroing the shoe, but I'd love to see a photo inside the shoe of how the tongue/bootie was made.

Licensing issues apparently. I guess Nike would have had to pay a bunch of money to pay for the licensing to use the Hello Kitty image on a wide-scale commercial release.

These are fake mate. The heel has been painted instead of molded in a separate color. Thats the easiest way to distinguish the legit pairs from the fake.

Three original prototypes of the Presto from 1999. Black/gold is a wear test prototype. Orange/White is a wear test prototype. Blue/Black/Red pair is a 1-of-1 patent prototype sample used for legal purposes when applying for design patents.
