Agreed. When it comes to the gums I feel like the two City Socks are best (black looks slightly better than white on those, the black plugs make a ton of difference), then these whites and then way in last with the blacks. Now if the blacks had a gum colored boost, then maybe we'd be talking...
Yeah, I have a beater pair of black mesh that I got caught in the rain in a few times and they'll soak fully through the bottom of the sole onto the bottom of your foot even. It's not pleasant.
Ah then no
When I first heard they'd be gore-tex uppers it intrigued me as to if they'll do something about the fact that the boost acts like a giant sponge in the rain. If they can somehow waterproof the boost that'd be awesome and make those a great pair of shoes for when it's raining...
Oh, I mean I do; couldn't care less what others think honestly. XR1 looks better on me personally as I have a narrow foot; R1s look chunky and clunky. That's why both shoes are made and both are rocked by people.
Oh man, this is a nice surprise especially since I like the XR1 silhouette way better than the R1 silhouette. May just pass on the R1 and go for the XR1 now when they inevitably drop.
Oh, I knew that full well; I've been doing this **** for like 15 years now, my friend and I had nothing else to do and figured we'd take the chance because best case scenario you get your shoes, worst case scenario you just keep looking. It's all good.
Both of those look like things I've had happen on pairs of NMDs right out of the box; I wouldn't be concerned since they're both minor regular production flaws and the shoes on the whole look legit.
I'm married and had a date night with my wife before heading out at like 2 am and she was cool with it since she knows sneakers are something that I enjoy (and she enjoys as well), but continue on with your misconceptions.
