So, did anyone actually get them? My order was in within 9 seconds of it being live using Apple Pay to quick checkout and I “wasn’t selected”...
I love that the text came five minutes later and they were completely unavailable too.
I’m in Boston and racing tomorrow wearing the VF blue fox CW. I haven’t located any stock of the 4% since the first month — anyone have any idea how I can secure a pair while here?
Ok - I'm a complete Nike shoe-noob ... but after the effort it took to secure two pairs of the VF4, I realize I need to know how to actually ensure I can get good Nike shoes before the hype-beasts.
Can anyone help me out? Is there a "how to get Nike shoes" for dummies resource out there?
BTW -...
Completely wrong forum for this question, I know ... but I have pretty much only ever raced in Brooks or Hoka shoes.
Adidas Boost owns the world records for the marathon distance ... so who has worn Boost shoes and also Nike VFs? What is a good Boost shoe to pickup for a comparison on my own?
So I lucked out and found pairs in both colors in size 11 - and both of them are here!
I took the ice blue VF out for its first run today -- even though it was 85 degrees and sunny at 5pm.
Schedule called for a tempo run of 9 miles, 6:50ish pace. I chose the same route I ran about a month ago...
Thanks for the tip! I ordered a size 11 - still in stock in the Blue Fox!
So I've got both colors coming - probably RW will get there sooner. I'll likely keep that one as I have the ice blue Zoom Fly -- but hell, if it is a true racing flat that's only good for 5-6 marathons maybe I'll keep...
In Seattle for work -- called the Nike Running store at UW and they had size 10s in stock, but not 11s.
Called Fleet Feet Seattle - they don't have any but pointed me online ... they had size 11 ! Ordered and hopefully shipping soon.
Pretty irritated myself. I've been running in the Zoom Fly though - it feels pretty decent. Just ran 8 miles at around a 6:45 pace ... but was hoping to get the 4% for my marathon in 6 weeks.
