can you post a shot of the whole sneaker now that you’ve fixed the toebox?

my toebox has a lower cut, which is way better than bulbusaur toe, but doesn’t wrap around the top of the sneaker the way that pair does. That other pair looks perfect.

Pics? I got 3 pair and neither looks great like that.

I want to cry when I see pics of OG Js. The beautiful shape with the slant at the toe and the height of the collar on pretty much every model kills me. Makes the shoe so much more wearable. You can literally rock it with anything because it looked like a sleek sneaker not steel toe clunky work...

Yeah...that right pair has that bulbasaur working. I have noticed that in a lot of pictures and video the left shoe has the sleeker toe box. Odd?

Im not sure about this. I don’t remember the OG Zoom Kobe 1 having many QC issues back in 06 but when the protro 1 released, there were a ton of pairs that came with terrible looking wrinkles in the leather. Especially with the blackout and maize pairs.

Exactly. Puma did this with their Ralph Sampson retro also. Beautiful execution on the toe box.

The 2006 retro was decent. I loved my pair back then. Then again, that’s when we had to settle with not getting N/A on the back.

I really don’t understand why Nike can’t get that toebox right on their retros anymore. What happened?? Look at the great slant and overall shape of the OG. Then the banana retro!?!? OG

This. I bought a pair for myself, my 8 y.o. and my 3 y.o. The sheen on the tongue of the adult and GS is ridiculous. Worst part is, they used the correct tongue material on the pre-k pair so it seems pretty intentional that they would get that part wrong...Only to correct on a future pair and...

Shape looks pretty good honestly. I think they lowered the toe like they did on the 5s. Can’t wait to see less manicured pics.

More than anything I just want them to fix the damn toebox. The slope on the OG and 99 is perfection. That boxy shape on the recent releases is so trash.
