Only issue is Suggs (RFA) and both Wagners deals come up after the season.
Paolo (RFA) the year after.
Could run into some issue in 12 months depending on what Suggs, Franz and Paolo get.
Ingram and a pick for Garland. Easy swap there.
The fact that these rumors are dropping is the Cavs tipping their hand on what they want. Mitchell could take it out of their hands of course.
If they have the choice, they’ll cut bait with Garland.
So it isn’t a full on Mitchell is getting traded. He could. It’s the more likely of the two. But Cavs could pivot some with Mitchell.
It’s a dumb trade. Whether DLo, AR which either or requires Rui. Whatever.
If you jettison everybody, you aren’t fielding a championship roster either. Might not even be a playoff team if one bad thing happens.
At least a casual watch of the playoffs would show this.
I think player wise, every conversation starts with AR. There is no manner at which AR isn't gone in a Third Star pursuit. Even if DLo opts in.
Then you have to pick either (Rui & JHS or Gabe & Vando) to make the salaries match. Lakers won't want to have more than a negligible salary increase...
I'm team no to all of these things. With the exception of Bronny at any pick after 40.
Even with Mitchell and Trae moving to 3rd best player if either came over. The cost is too big. There's too many good West teams to think that you can just outgun them. Especially when the NBA has definitively...
Letting DLo walk and only being able to replace him with $5mil is a rough rough go.
The only reason the MLE isn’t totally possible without letting Max go is they’ll need some vet mins to produce and every vet min is at least $2mil
The issue with this is, they either run out of money getting to Max Christie. Or are so close to the first apron, they'll have no room to move if they need to pivot during the season because they essentially make each guy significantly more valuable because of the money.
If they let DLo walk...
I mean it will take all 3 picks. And require AR and Rui. And even then, there will be better offers.
Also, my expectation is the Knicks jump in on Mitchell. Have 5 potential firsts they can trade between this year and next year. And own every one of their firsts afterwards.
And will likely...
There’s always the percentage. Hell there’s a percentage LeBron decides he’s out.
Lakers “want” XYZ. They will be outbid and forced to match it. The alternative is going to be a really bumpy ride.
Also even as a person who likes DLo. Ain’t no team going to trade anything Lakers would want just...
 So they couldn't find anybody to take him on because he was an expiring deal. So the "leak" is that Rob is going to pay him an even bigger amount of money to be an expiring contract.
BUT also trade their picks in the off-season before you even get to that point.
Rob is definitely hitting...
Probably would have missed the playoffs with what would have been available. The report is that “Sources say the Lakers tried to trade him at the deadline, but no team wanted to acquire him because of the leverage he’d have heading into the summer with that player option.” Even then, any trade...
I'm fine with Lue, Nori and Adelman in that order. Edit: Actually Nori and Adelman is a tie, I just like Nori as a soundbite.
Any of the 3, but regardless gotta give them the whole Bron run, and a couple years past it.
