I have both the running and basketball elite socks and I dont think that the running socks do not feel like the basketball socks. The basketball ones are much more thicker and more fit IMO.

Yeah should be. I had some Lebron 6s where a little tiny piece of of the sole was coming out and they took it. Just make sure you take a detailed picture of the problem when you ship it out so they know exactly what is wrong with it.
