@Im Not You IINM it's the stroboscopic function found in some higher end flash units. IIRC the 580EXII or SB900 has it.

Hi guys. I've been playing with cameras for about 2 years now and recently level up-ed to a Rebel XS. But it seems I'm still not able to take photographs in public. I'm alright with a softbox and macro-ing all day. But as soon as I step outside, my eyes don't seem to be able to pick up...

Been lurking around too much. Juz bought a 1000D. I found that the 50mm f/1.8 is good for portraits and low lights, while the 18-55mm kit lens is good for general purpose and macro. So far I only have the 50mm and 18-55mm. Using the kit lens for macro shots atm. f8, 1/30, ISO 100, 55mm...
