Finally broke out the Baltic Blues that I dyed Navy for Christmas Eve dinner at my Mom's. Please excuse the poor lighting and stained carpeting...Carpet probably hasn't been shampooed ever.
They even stocked them after the initial release. I remember going there and they always had them on display, just wasn't the official official version which I believe had a different insole and different box?
How do you prep the midsole? Acetone? Rubbing alcohol? What kind of paint do you use that's flexible and won't crack? I'm waiting to paint the entire midsole and also add speckles. Got a pair of True AM97 that have crumbled soles and wanna soleswap with an AM1 sole, but retain as much of the OG...

Finished dying the laces and applying the Dye Fixative to the uppers and laces. Never rinsed any of the dye out, so brushing the fixative seemed to remove some dye, but I'm loving the distressed look!
Just hope the dye won't rub off too much on my jeans, but will always wear black socks with...
Currently it has some Navy/Obsidian tones which I'm liking, but it's not quite uniform all around. I imagine a second/third coat will help even it out.
Did notice the Sesame Swoosh is MUCH darker than the Baltic Blue. Looks midnight navy in the sun compared to the rest of the shoe.
Thinking of keeping these the way they are. Was gonna hit with a second coat, but the Navy over the Baltic Blue giving some neat tones to it that I tried to capture, but hard to photograph (my camera skills need some work).
