A bit late but I pulled the trigger on my own last week. I have a medium in the original 2 in 1 jacket from two seasons ago and got a medium in this. The fit is good although its a bit looser which helps with mobility.
It's quite a bit lighter than I thought but it's a perfect shell if you live...
I want to say over 300km. So about 185 miles? My mileage has dropped off lately with work ramping up between the holidays and the weather starting to be a bit unsuitable for the shoes. Still, when the weather is nice, it's my go to shoe. Probably nowhere near as durable as the Trainer but I...
I'm pretty sure that they WILL have a bottomless carrier system or at least something similar. Almost all Lunar products in the running space seem to be moving in that direction other than the ultralights/non flagship models. (see Lunarspeeds, Lunarspiders, Lunar Racers etc.) If you look at the...
Sorry if this has been posted somewhere already but one other thing that I have heard from people that I can't seem to find in this thread is that the cushioning system is NOT identical to the Lunarglide system. Speaking with a couple of people that have worn or have information on the shoe, it...
The photo of the Corks was at a Los Angeles event called Sneaker Show and Tell earlier tonight. Was put on for the local sneaker community with an appearance by Gentry Humphrey talking shop and giving away a couple of kicks. A very fun evening and a place to meet with some really cool like...
Absolutely agree. Memory serves, the material is some sort of glass/synthetic hybrid and does not lend itself to breathability at all. I can't go running in the thing without being drenched in the thing. The vest is a great move but it would have been nice to have had the entire vest be...
Followup on durability of the material. I've been running in the original vapor flash on and off this past year and broke it out again this week now that the weather is finally getting colder again and the days are getting shorter. Unfortunately, I'm noticing some spotting on the jacket where...
Quick heads up. The medal stand reflective windrunner appears to have dropped in price on nikestore. Still a hefty 359.97 but still a substantial amount off if you were waiting for the sale.
Boss-
My second and third release HTM Trainers both have "Nike Lunar Flyknit HTM NRG" on the box with identical model numbers 535089 with different color codes (obviously). I unfortunately do not have a pair of the Racers to confirm that the model numbers match that with the GR.
Definitely if they were almost too snug, I'd go with my true size. Since you probably aren't going to be logging massive miles in them and will be using them primarily for casual wear, you would probably feel more comfortable with a larger shoe. Worst case, you could double sock! =P Good luck...
Actually I bought the second collection HTM first with the assumption that it was TTS, and ultimately, the fit was perfect. I assumed that the third collection would be the same but it feels like there is more space at the toebox lengthwise (albeit less than the Trainers) while being the same...
I actually have a pair of the black whites from the second HTM release. I find that mine are TTS as the width is perfect and the length is shorter than the GR Trainers. Interestingly enough, I managed to get a pair from the 3rd release (mixed colorway) and it feels like the shoes are slightly...
Yeah... I'm hoping to avoid that... =P
Would you say its pretty substantial? As in it goes from slightly uncomfortable to perfect? I'm pondering getting a pair of Trainers if these Racers don't hold up over longer distances.
Quick follow up to my review of the Racers earlier last week. I've found that the Zoom units do soften up a fair bit and that now the ride is nowhere near as harsh as it was the first run. It definitely feels "springier" now than before and there is adequate cushioning (albeit still nowhere near...
Ah. Terrain wise I can see why you use Lunar then. I almost exclusively run on asphalt or concrete where inconsistencies in surface are pretty much irrelevant. Your concern about the durability of the upper is definitely founded as I definitely wouldn't peg the Flyknits to be durable in a trail...
IYE2-
Very interesting insight but it makes a lot of sense regarding the Lunar material. I actually ran in my Lunarglide 3s today and it felt exactly as you described: like running in sand. The lack of spring/bounce almost felt like energy just dies as you take each stride. My time was...
Don't know about the most recent version but I have the original Vapor Flash Jacket. It's definitely susceptible to scratching. Found it out the hard way as even wearing a seatbelt over it leaves some marks (albeit almost unnoticeable). However, I've washed the jacket several times after runs...
