I’m 47 and my friend in 7th grade had a pair and I stared at them everyday in Social Studies.
The part where the bag and poly meet slowly disintegrated all year to the point that the airbag popped.
I’ve wanted a pair since 1987… that’s a long time.
I always thought the reason they got rid of the bigger air bag was because the heel had a tendency to fall apart. So, they went for the smaller bag in 1988 or so with the vulcanized outsole.
This kid in my 7th grade class had the original and I spent half the year watching them slowly deteriorate.
I haven't really purchased anything flashy in years. I've spent the better part of the this decade wearing Roshe's and for the last year or more, 2017 Free RN's. But this past weekend I finally broke down and splurged on these.
Undoubtedly, these are the most bold (and expensive) shoe purchase...
