Hopefully it was a wake-up call. The team over at SB clearly has some talent when it comes to attention to detail. It’s easier for them since they’re much smaller, but yea that particular release definitely put into perspective just how horrible the 4s that JB was churning out actually were.

The 99 pair was a nice soft white synthetic leather. White durabuck is/was just synthetic leather whereas black durabuck is more like synthetic nubuck.

2016 WCs been big trash since they released. Nobody was passing on white cements with Nike air but that doesn’t change the fact that they were really disappointing, even at the time. White cements aren’t even supposed to be leather. Certainly not that shiny textured creased up garbage they used...

I hated the 2016 pair. That dull red and tumbled leather ruined them.

Finally a cw that we actually want in the 85 cut. All the way in. Going for 2-3 pairs.

The OD puffiness of the tongue and collar bumps are the worst part about current 5s. I actually don’t care as much about the 3M brightness/finish although I do hope they fix that too.

My pair feels nothing like dunk leather. Not premium by any stretch but definitely nowhere near as cheap as dunks.
