The shoe was designed with the system in mind. It was built around the system. Had they used laces, I think we would be seeing a completely different shoe.

As the other user pointed out, those models have big logos too and those aren't just some random models. I personally prefer subtle logos (like the AJ Xiii, my personal favorite) just like you but the logo (Nike logo too) itself is cool-looking imo so I don't get why all of a sudden, it ticks...

I personally like that swoosh simply because it gives a vintage look. Back in the days, the logo wasn't cut meticulously and it brings back memories. Pretty sure they did it on purpose for that reason
