I'm not flat footed, but I have used orthotics in my Kobe's in the past because I do experience arch pain in all my shoes while playing basketball. I'm debating if I want to invest in the "orthotic-ready" zoom option on Nike iD to use as well. I haven't had all that much pain with the 8's but...

Swapped out laces on my Sulfurs just to see. I kinda like it...

Anyone else feel some toebox discomfort on the 8's when you put them on? maybe i need to break them in more, but that's just me.

Played a few pickup games today with the AJ 2011 Be Quick inserts and I'm pretty impressed. I'll be keeping these inserts in my bag along with the Lunarlon one's that came with the 8's. Won't need to switch shoes anymore, just inserts!

So my stubborn self wanted to try it. It fits with a little work, but it gets a lot tighter as well. No idea if it's even remotely playable in haha.

I feel as if the whole idea of selling the lunarlon/orthotic inserts separate from the shoes is to address the complaints about the lunarlon "bottoming out". clever move by Nike.

Got confirmation from the Nike iD twitter that you can get Zoom Air on the Kobe 8 with that "orthotic-ready" option. A few extra for my own design AND zoom air? I'm down for it.
