You know whats the best thing about salahs emergence this season, real wont want hazard anymore haha

Cristiano Ronaldo has now caught up with the other top goalscorers and holds the current most goals in all competitions this season from the top 5 leagues. 37 goals in 35 appearances.
Note how badly he had been performing in the league for a pretty extended period time from the start of the season, relatively speaking given his talent.
He scored 17 in his last 8 games to catch up.
Man that’s an incredible feat

My goodness. Just saw the Liverpool highlights.

Salah still putting the pressure on :smh:

And Firmino's goal :wow:

This has to be the least exciting season in terms of title races across Europe I've seen. Of the top 5 leagues, 4 have been decided in the winter (none by underdog sides to add to the excitement) and the only country where there's still a race is Italy. But the leaders are the 6-time defending champs that nobody really expects to slip up.

PL = 5-6 Teams that can win the league.

La Liga = One team, maybe two wins it every year.

By scoring again, Spanish Lingard is staking his claim to start against Juventus. Over the likes of Bale, Isco, and Asensio. Vazquez has done well with Asensio playing his opposite in a 4-4-2, so plugging him in as a RW with Kroos-Modric-Cas is not really ideal. The success of the 4-4-2 could disrupt the midfield trio that outlasted even BBC up top. Kroos has made himself more indispensable than Modric. The lineup Zizou selects in Italy could have long-term ramifications for the dynamic of the team on the pitch and in the locker room. Last year we saw the end of Bale with Isco's emergence. This year it could be Isco, and as unfatbomable as it is, Modric or Casemiro.

Of course Zizou could also roll out the PSG plan. Start with the XI from the CL final and then sub in Vazquez+Asensio. But that 4-4-2 has been a literal game-changed for RM since it flipped the PSG tie over in just 15 minutes in the Bernabeu.

According to the elo metric, La Liga is ranked sligntly ahead of the premire league.

but the epl has 6 teams in the top 15 individual elo while la liga only has 3.

Anybody seen Batshuayi's backheel kick goal against Hannover? Surprised it made it to #4 on the ESPN Top 10 this morning.

Whenever I think of that bum verratti, I think of how Isco thrashed him in the friendly last Sept... He was a day late & a dollar short the whole game... Couldn't even foul Isco because he was contantly getting megged or his ankles broke... And speaking of Isco... His deal was set to expire at the end of June this year, did he sign an extension with Madrid?
