Its alleged til found true. the guy talks to Recruits daily and reported what he was told by recruit.
And Scott Schrader of Scout, who is as close to SC recruiting as any recruiting analyst, shot it down as being false.  I'm going with my gut in thinking that Scott, who is in LA, is as objective as they come, and around the program all the time has more credibility than Brent at Volquest.  Kids talk up their visits all the time and messages that get passed along to other recruits get distorted.  Markeith is an attention-seeker, I wouldn't doubt that he called a Lincoln Towncar (what SC sends all the time) a "limo".

the same way USC tired to say they had sent a Towncar to get brian price but they where all out so the company sent a limo? or the same way last year one of the recruits said USC picked him up in a limo then USC turned around and said he made a mistake that it was a towncar?

Don't remember any PC comparisons.......not by any logical UM fans at least. And that fence around Dade stuff was uttered by Randy himself. But that was awhile ago. He also said he'd kill himself if we lost 4 games awhile ago.

Expectations lower apparently.

Rental companies send limos when they run out of other luxury cars all the time.  Who knows, maybe Pete was bending the rules (i.e. sent a limo knowing he can use the sold out excuse) but I don't think he's dumb enough to do it with a solid Bruin commit, that he pissed off by slow playing, at Crenshaw of all schools during school hours.  LA Times took down their story for a reason.  It was a bunch of heated allegations and no facts.

I don't believe this story one bit.  The source is a Tennessee insider who heard about the limo second hand - come on really?  And Lane would do this over a recruit he already has sealed up?  Makes no sense.

That's right up there w/ Miami having top 5 talent. Nahhhhhhh that's a little worse.

And what's up w/ Orr not getting into UF. How was he already enrolled then they made him pull out? That's @#* backwards. Kid shoulda never got in, in the first place.

Virginia Beach, Virginia (Ocean Lakes High School) wide receiver and Tennessee commitment Justin Hunter has had an interesting week. On Tuesday, the 6-4, 172 pound wideout made his verbal pledge to play for the Vols. On Friday, the coach recruiting him, Willie Mack Garza, left for Southern Cal. And while there has been some chatter of uncertainty, for Hunter the biggest certainty is that he will sign with Tennessee on National Signing Day.

"It's been all of them," Hunter said of his emotions the last couple of days. "It's been hard. A lot of coaches are trying to see if I am interested. The phone ringing on and off the hook. But I don't want to talk to anyone else or visit anyone else. I am done. I am ready to sign with Tennessee."

When news broke of Garza's departure, Hunter got an important phone call from his future coaches. A call that offered reassurance.

"I talked to coach Dooley and coach Baggett on Friday," Hunter said. "I have really hit it off with coach Baggett. He reminds me of my basketball coach. He's all about tough love."

Hunter said he hated to see Garza depart for the west coast, but the fact that Garza would not have been coaching him at Tennessee did lessen the blow.

"He was one of my friends," Hunter said. "I am disappointed to see him leave. I haven't talked to him since he left and so I don't know why he left. But I wish him the best. It helped that he wasn't my position coach. It made it easier."

Hunter said he might a visit from Baggett sometime this coming week. But Tennessee fans didn't have anything to worry about and not just because he likes his receivers coach, but also his impression of his future head coach.

"Coach Dooley's cool," Hunter said. "He's honest and he's going to you know where you stand. He is really down to earth and he hit it off really well with all my family when he visited here. He met everyone. My mom, my aunt's and uncles, my brothers and sisters, my football coaches and my track coach. He met everyone close to me and they all liked coach Dooley alot."

The other key factor in the Vols favor is the track program. Hunter will compete in track at Tennessee and according to Hunter his comfort level with the Vol track program offered comfort to him the last couple of days.

Rivals.com rates Hunter as a four-star prospect, the 8th best receiver prospect and the 75th best prospect overall in the country.

Hope Michigan can lock up Jibreel Black today. We need DTs and have Mike Martin and King William Campbell recruiting the hell out of him. Going from what looked to be 0 in this class to 3 would be nice.

Tyler Murphy is a Gator said he is recruited to play QB only.

He's a 2 star that was committed to Temple 6-2 runs a 4.42 40.

Be interesting to see how he develops.

We need to have every single recruit next weekend up in Tootsies with McGahee, Portis, Santana, etc. Show them the lifestyle that could be theirs.

whenever  I see an Athlete who has wheels like this go to a big time school I already know he'd gonna end up being a Monster. it always happens.

I bet he ends up being some Brandon James Beast Kick returner and ends up gettin some trick plays run for him.

Fobbs left LSU without switching his commitment... Gotta be a good start for the Ags...

Just hope you get news later today that Nelson left OU the same way...
laugh.gif

Terrell Reese left campus committed to Utah, but it sounds like he's very conflicted about which matters more, playing closer to home or playing receiver rather than DB... Should be interesting...

Jay, you heard anything about whether Loften is still gonna take visits?

I think he ended his recruitement.

If we can somehow get Da'Freak Rogers to switch from UGA I wont even be the least bit upset about losing Ambles.

Phil Knight got work to do.
Just spoke to Mychal Rivera, who said that whileeverything technically remains even until he speaks with his parentsupon returning home, he does leave Knoxville with Tennessee as hisleader. I'll have a story up this evening, but Rivera loved everythingabout the visit and said that he was blown away by the Vols'facilities. He said he didn't think anyone could have better facilitiesthan Oregon but that Tennessee clearly does. He expects to make adecision in the coming week.
