He always laughing itup...damn that's a good team we just played...yeah there a good team...they played better than us...we made too many mistakes, etc. Always lightheartedwith his comments.

And for better or worse, a team always takes the personality of their leader.

I can't fault BB though. At that age, you realize that a W/L in a football game isn't really that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.

At the end of the day though, I think it's time for Bobby to hang 'em up.

I can't believe how badly we played on Saturday. It just seemed like every position group played out of sync. I didn't like our offensive game plan atall. And by the time we figured out was effective against them it was way too late. We just needed to spread the field out go with 3 and 4 WRs and slang therock. Our ground game has pretty much been non-existent on the road. I also wouldn't mind seeing Jamal Womble get some looks. Draugh wasn't doing adamn thing when he was in the game.

Only thing we can takeaway from this game is that Highsmith had another baller game. This kid is going to be a monster.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke senior quarterback Thaddeus Lewis added his name to several school and conference record books and collected the Walter Camp Foundation National Player of the Week honor to headline a list of Atlantic Coast Conference players of the week announced Monday. Five of the six honorees represent teams that scored 40 or more points in a win over the weekend. Overall, seven conference schools (Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest) scored 40-plus points in a win in the same weekend for the first time in the league's 57-year history.

Offensively, Lewis is joined by Georgia Tech senior guard Cord Howard as the Offensive Lineman of the Week and Virginia Tech freshman running back Ryan Williams, who captured Rookie of the Week honors for the third time in the last four weeks, and fourth time overall. ACC defenses were highlighted by Wake Forest senior defensive tackle John Russell and Virginia junior cornerback Ras-I Dowling, as the Defensive Lineman and Defensive Back of the Week, respectively. Maryland sophomore wide receiver/return specialist Torrey Smith continued to leave his mark on ACC record books in taking Specialist of the Week honors.

OFFENSIVE BACK - Thaddeus Lewis, Duke, QB, Sr., 6-1, 215, Opa-Locka, Fla. (Hialeah Miami Lakes)

Duke senior quarterback Thaddeus Lewis, in addition to earning Walter Camp Foundation National Player of the Week honors, etched his name into several record books in helping the Blue Devils to a 49-28 victory over NC State. Lewis completed a school single-game record 40 passes in 50 attempts for 459 yards and five touchdowns against a Wolfpack defense that came into the game leading the league allowing just 239.2 yards of total offense per game. Lewis' 459 passing yards is the fourth-highest single-game total in school history and 18th-best passing performance in league annals, while his five touchdown passes tied the second-best mark in Blue Devil history. Lewis also scored with his feet on a two-yard run in the first quarter, giving him responsibility for six touchdowns in the game, matching an ACC single-game record. Additionally, Lewis became Duke's all-time leader in touchdown passes with 59 and achieved 8,000 passing yards for his career, becoming just the 16th player in the ACC to accomplish the feat.

OFFENSIVE LINEMEN - Cord Howard, Georgia Tech, G, Sr., 6-5, 308, Phenix City, Ala. (Central)
Georgia Tech senior guard Cord Howard was credited with 13 knockdowns and was the top performer on an offensive line that paved the way for Georgia Tech to amass 532 yards of total offense, including 401 on the ground, the fourth-highest and second-highest totals in the ACC this season, respectively, in a 49-44 win against Florida State. Despite a 78-minute delay due to lightning, the Yellow Jacket offense operated like a well-oiled machine throughout the evening, as the punt team was not asked to take the field in the game.

DEFENSIVE LINEMAN - John Russell, Wake Forest, DT, Sr., 6-4, 280, Jacksonville, Fla. (The Bolles School)

Wake Forest senior defensive tackle John Russell matched his career-high with six tackles and recorded two sacks for losses totaling 15 yards in a 42-32 win over visiting Maryland. Russell also helped anchor a defensive front that limited Maryland to just 62 rushing yards-a season-low for Demon Deacon opponents. In addition, Russell had a nine-yard sack late in the second quarter during a Maryland drive that crossed midfield. His second sack came on a fourth down-and-five when he dropped Maryland quarterback Chris Turner for a six-yard loss.

DEFENSIVE BACK - Ras-I Dowling, Virginia, CB, Jr., 6-2, 200, Chesapeake, Va. (Deep Creek)

Virginia junior cornerback Ras-I Dowling highlighted a Cavalier defense that did not allow a point through the first 51 minutes of a 47-7 win against visiting Indiana. In addition to a forced fumble on the Hoosiers' first possession and a second-quarter interception, both of which led to Cavalier touchdowns, Dowling recorded a team-high nine tackles, including seven solo stops, and the first sack of his career. Dowling also anchored a defensive secondary that limited the Indiana offense to just 190 passing yards in 36 attempts, and did not allow the Hoosiers to convert a third-down until the third quarter.

SPECIALIST - Torrey Smith, Maryland, WR, So., 6-1, 200, Colonial Beach, Va. (Stafford)

Maryland sophomore wide receiver and kick returner Torrey Smith totaled a career-high 194 yards in six kickoff returns (32.3 yards per return), including an 85-yarder on his first return, in a 42-32 loss to Wake Forest. Only in his second season, Smith entered the game against the Demon Deacons ranked 16th in league history with 1,732 career kickoff return yards. By the end of the game, Smith had climbed eight spots to sit in eighth place with 1,926 yards. Offensively, Smith hauled in a career-high 10 passes-tied for the second most in the conference this season-for 70 yards and a touchdown reception to finish the game with 267 all-purpose yards. Smith now owns the top two, and four of the top five, all-purpose performances in the league in 2009, and leads the nation with 236.7 all-purpose yards per game.

ROOKIE - Ryan Williams, Virginia Tech, RB, Fr. 5-9, 205, Manassas, Va. (Stonewall Jackson)

Virginia Tech freshman running back Ryan Williams went over the 100-yard rushing mark for the fourth time this season to tie a Hokie freshman mark with four 100-yard rushing performances. Williams rushed for 158 yards in 18 attempts (8.2 yards per rush) and a touchdown in a 48-14 win against Boston College in a rematch of the last two ACC Championship games. Williams totaled 138 rushing yards in the first half, while sitting out most of the second half. He also caught a 23-yard pass to finish the day with 182 total yards of offense. Williams owns three of the top-10 rushing performances in the league to date, and leads the ACC and is sixth nationally with 122.3 rushing yards per game.

(theACC.com) - NC State sophomore quarterback Russell Wilson headlines a list of Atlantic Coast Conference Players of the Week after a career performance in a 38-31 comeback win against Pittsburgh, in which the quarterback threw four touchdown passes for the third consecutive game and helped the Wolfpack offense to three unanswered touchdowns late in the game to cap the comeback.

Joining Russell on this week's list are Virginia Tech's freshman running back Ryan Williams-who takes in his third Rookie of the Week honor of the 2009 season-junior defensive end Jason Worilds and sophomore offensive tackle Blake DeChristopher. Georgia Tech's junior center Sean Bedford joins DeChristopher as the Co-Offensive Linemen of the Week and junior strong safety Morgan Burnett is the Defensive Back of the Week. Florida State true-freshman cornerback Greg Reid rounds out the list with his second Player of the Week selection in as many weeks.

OFFENSIVE BACK - Russell Wilson, NC State, QB, So., 5-11, 208, Richmond, Va. (Collegiate)
NC State sophomore quarterback Russell Wilson threw for four touchdowns and totalled 413 total yards-the ninth-highest in school history-in helping the Wolfpack to a 38-31 comeback win against previously unbeaten Pittsburgh. Wilson was 21-of-35 through the air for 322 yards and threw four touchdown passes for the third consecutive game. His team- and career-high 91 rushing yards gave him 413 of NC State's 530 total yards (78 percent). As the Wolfpack trailed, 31-17, with 4:15 remaining in the third quarter, Wilson engineered three touchdown drives of 45, 83, and 71 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown pass to Jarvis Williams, and a seven-yard strike to George Bryan to tie the game at 31-31. Wilson currently sits second in the ACC and 19th in the nation with an average of 271 yards of total offense per game, ranks second in Division I FBS with 12 touchdown passes, and has thrown an NCAA-record 364 consecutive passes without an interception.

Virginia Tech sophomore offensive tackle Blake DeChristopher anchored an offensive line that paved the way for a Hokie offense that totaled 370 yards, including 272 on the ground in Virginia Tech's 31-7 win over then-ninth-ranked Miami. DeChristopher graded out at a team-high 85 percent on 56-of-64 plays and recorded five knockdowns in the win that vaulted Virginia Tech to No. 6 in both the Associated Press and USA Today polls-the highest national ranking for an ACC team this season.
Sean Bedford, Georgia Tech, C, Jr., 6-1, 267, Gainesville, Fla. (Buchholz)
Bedford helped the Georgia Tech offensive line create plenty of space for Yellow Jacket ball carriers, who combined for 317 rushing yards and 406 overall in a 24-7 win against then-18th-ranked North Carolina-a victory that lifted Georgia Tech back into the AP poll at No. 25. Despite mid-game cramps, Bedford and his fellow linemen neutralized a Tar Heel defense that entered the game allowing just 52.3 rushing yards per game and ranked sixth nationally in total defense.

DEFENSIVE LINEMAN - Jason Worilds, Virginia Tech, DE, Jr., 6-2, 240, Carteret, N.J. (Carteret)
Virginia Tech junior defensive end Jason Worilds was active throughout a 31-7 win against ninth-ranked Miami in pressuring Hurricane quarterback Jacory Harris. Worilds had six tackles and was credited with 1.5 quarterback sacks, while adding a forced fumble and two quarterback hurries. The junior helped the Hokie defense limit Miami to just 209 yards of total offense.

DEFENSIVE BACK - Morgan Burnett, Georgia Tech, SS, Jr., 6-1, 210, College Park, Ga. (North Clayton)
Georgia Tech junior strong safety Morgan Burnett was credited with both of the Yellow Jackets' interceptions in a 24-7 win against then-18th-ranked North Carolina. Burnett's two interceptions give him three for the season-good for second place in the ACC-and 13 for his career, moving him into a tie for fourth in school history. He also made a team-high six tackles.

SPECIALIST - Greg Reid, Florida State, CB, Fr., 5-9, 175, Valdosta, Ga. (Lowndes)
Florida State true freshman cornerback Greg Reid earned his second Player of the Week accolade in as many weeks. Reid was selected as the Defensive Back of the Week last week, and earned Specialist of the Week for racking up 129 yards, exclusively on returns. Despite a 17-7 loss to unbeaten South Florida, Reid handled all three of the Seminoles' punt returns for a total of 78 yards-a 26.0 yards per return average-including a 68-yarder in the fourth quarter that led to Florida State's only touchdown. In his kickoff return role, Reid had three returns with a long return of 36 yards. Additionally, he contributed defensively with a pass break-up from his cornerback position. Although he is sharing the return duties, Reid boasts a team-leading 15.7 yards-per-return average on punts and a 25.8 yards-per-return average on kickoffs, and is the team leader with 103.8 all-purpose yards per game.

ROOKIE - Ryan Williams, Virginia Tech, RB, Fr. 5-9, 205, Manassas, Va. (Stonewall Jackson)
For the second week in a row and third time in the last four, Virginia Tech freshman running back Ryan Williams topped all ACC newcomers with a game-high 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns on a career-high 34 in a 31-7 win against ninth-ranked Miami. Additionally, Williams hauled in two receptions for 40 yards for a total of 190 all-purpose yards. The redshirt-freshman currently ranks sixth in the nation with 123.0 rushing yards per game and is tied for second with eight scores.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Miami senior offensive tackle Jason Fox and Wake Forest senior quarterback Riley Skinner headline this week's eight Atlantic Coast Conference Players of the Week. Fox helped the Hurricane offense defeat eighth-ranked Oklahoma, 21-20, in front of a national television audience on ESPN's Saturday Night Football, while Skinner set a career-high in passing yards for the third consecutive week and broke school records for touchdown passes and total yards in a 30-24 victory against NC State.

This week's honorees feature Co-Players of the Week at two positions in Georgia Tech's Brad Jefferson and Virginia's Matt Conrath as Co-Defensive Lineman, and Maryland's Nick Ferarra and Virginia's Robert Randolph as Co-Specialists of the Week. Virginia Tech's Cody Grimm was selected as the Defensive Back of the Week with a career day against Duke, while Maryland's Demetrius Hartsfield was the first defensive player selected this season for Rookie of the Week honors.

OFFENSIVE BACK - Riley Skinner, Wake Forest, QB, Sr., 6-1, 210, Jacksonville, Fla. (The Bolles School)

Wake Forest senior quarterback Riley Skinner earned ACC Offensive Back of the Week accolades for the second time this season (Sept. 14) after completing 31-of-45 passes for 361 yards-the second-best passing performance in the league in 2009-and three touchdowns in a 30-24 win against NC State. In the process, Skinner became Wake Forest's all-time leader in touchdown passes (45) and total yards (8,041). Additionally, Skinner's 45 attempts and 361 yards were both career-highs.

OFFENSIVE LINEMEN - Jason Fox, Miami, OT, Sr., 6-7, 314, Fort Worth, Texas (North Crowley)

Miami senior offensive tackle Jason Fox helped anchor an offensive front that paved the way for senior running back Javarris James' 150 rushing yards against the nation's top-ranked rushing defense in a 21-20 win against eighth-ranked Oklahoma. Aided by Fox's performance at the tackle position, the 17th-ranked Hurricanes piled on 342 yards of total offense. Fox graded out at 99 percent for the game and added three pancake blocks, while not allowing a sack.

CO-DEFENSIVE LINEMAN - Brad Jefferson, Georgia Tech, ILB, Jr., 6-2, 236, Wrightsville, Ga. (Johnson County)
Georgia Tech junior inside linebacker Brad Jefferson tied a career-high with eight tackles, including seven solo stops and one for a loss, in a 42-31 win against Mississippi State. Jefferson also forced two Bulldog fumbles. Despite an injury-plagued season in 2008, Jefferson is second among Yellow Jackets with 27 tackles this season and is tied for the team-lead in tackles for loss (2.5), pass breakups (two), and forced fumbles (two).

Matt Conrath, Virginia, So., DE, 6-7, 270, Oak Lawn, Ill. (St. Rita)

Virginia sophomore defensive end Matt Conrath spearheaded a Cavalier defense that allowed only 175 total yards in a 16-3 win against North Carolina. Conrath helped the defensive front hold the Tar Heels rushing attack to just 39 yards, the fewest allowed by Virginia since giving up 19 to Richmond last season. Conrath recorded four tackles and knocked down three passes at the line of scrimmage, and helped the defense limit the Tar Heels to just nine first downs, the fewest allowed by Virginia since 2007.

DEFENSIVE BACK - Cody Grimm, Virginia Tech, OLB, Sr., 5-11, 202, Fairfax, Va. (Oakton)

Virginia Tech outside linebacker Cody Grimm registered a game and career-high 14 tackles in a 34-26 win against Duke. Among his 14 hits were two tackles for loss (six yards) and a forced fumble. Grimm helped the Hokie defense hold the Blue Devils to just 38 rushing yards on 31 attempts (1.2 yards per rush). Grimm leads the team in nearly all defensive categories with 45 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles, and is tied for the team-high with three pass breakups.

CO-SPECIALIST - Nick Ferrara, Maryland, P/PK, Fr., 6-1, 195, Hicksville, N.Y. (St. Anthony's)

Maryland freshman placekicker Nick Ferarra handled all three phases of the kicking game in a 24-21 win against Clemson. Ferarra punted eight times and averaged 43.2 yards per punt with a long of 61-the third highest mark in the league this season-and landed three kicks inside Clemson's 20-yard line. The true freshman was also perfect in his place-kicking duties as he converted all three of his point-after-touchdown tries and connected on a season-long 43-yard field goal that put the Terrapins on the board early in the second quarter.

Robert Randolph, Virginia, PK, So., 5-10, 160, Naples, Fla. (Naples)

Virginia sophomore placekicker Robert Randolph set a career-high by converting all three of his field goal attempts in a 16-3 win against North Carolina, a game that did not see a touchdown scored until the 5:49 mark of the fourth quarter. Randolph made a 36-yarder to give the Cavaliers a 3-0 lead early in the second quarter, then extended their lead to 6-0 on the last play of the first half with a 38-yarder. After North Carolina cut the lead in half at 6-3, Randolph again extended Virginia's lead to six points with a career-long 43-yard field goal.

ROOKIE - Demetrius Hartsfield, Maryland, OLB, Fr., 6-2, 230, Raleigh, N.C. (Southeast Regional)

Maryland freshman outside linebacker Demetrius Hartsfield is the first defensive player this season to take ACC Rookie of the Week honors after registering a team and career-high 10 tackles, eight solo stops, 2.5 tackles for loss-including one sack-and one clutch play in a 24-21 win against Clemson. As Maryland clung to a 24-21 lead with Clemson on the Terps' 28-yard line with less than one minute remaining in the game, Hartsfield sacked Tiger quarterback Kyle Parker, forced a fumble in the process, then recovered the loose ball to seal the win for Maryland.

I would love to see this as well but we rotate in and out so much nobody (except maybe benjamin) single handily scares defenses..if i could pick Jacory'sgo to reciever it would probably be Epps

Yeah, I dunno, I kinda like the idea of a young Harris having different options, and lots of guys to throw too.

If we have that #1 type guy, Harris could start to lock in a little too much, and cause us problems.

Certainly over the next year or two I hope we can get that Andre Johnson type, and by then Harris should be matured enough to know how to move the ball aroundbut for now, I like it the way it is. We playin with house money right now as it is.
