Interesting to note. Both Oregon and Mich St./Ohio St. only have one ranked opponent remaining on their schedule the rest of the way. Could easily see either TCU or KST passing them by with their biggest games still ahead of them.

Notre Dame won't make it and quite frankly shouldn't with their only "quality win" being a mediocre Stanford team to this point. Their best hope is to beat Ariz St. and subsequently have them win the Pac 12. Knocking out Oregon and Mich St in the process.
And if FSU loses a game the Irish definitely don't have a shot.

Oregon will play an 18th ranked Utah. They could be higher ranked depending on how this weekend goes. Also if we win out we will face a ranked AZ St or Arizona again in the Pac-12 championship.

Oregon likely has two ranked opponents left, provided they reach the Pac-12 championship game.

Keep in mind that the Pac-12 champ will have played nine regular season conference games, like the Big 12. But with the conference championship, the Pac-12 winner will have played 10 conference games :x They'd be crazy not to reward that (provided the team has one, maybe two losses, depending on how the season plays itself out). As I've said previously, there are SIX weeks of football left to be played. Same time last year everybody pegged Bama and Oregon for the matchup that people had been wanting for years. We know how that panned out.

Let the season do its thing. SO much of this will be sorted out on its own.

Win or Loose there is nothing that would make me happier then seeing Oregon vs. Bama at the title game

tired of hearing "We want Bama"

The way Bama's defense, O Line, and running game have been playing, Oregon could beat them.

reall ****** woulda did their research and found out who his favorite NFL team is. Very lazy UT.

There are no dominant teams this year, any team can be beat.

Clay Travis is a damn fool for that article.

Yeah I mean, Oregon's defense has given up 142 plays of 10 yards or more so far this season, second to only Cal (Oregon gave up 144 total all of last year.)

So it's not like Oregon's defense would be able to stop Bama either

I've been saying this. People cried about humans having so much impact, and then we got the BCS. The people didn't like it and then put it back in the hands of humans again

It's going to be a **** show.
You realize humans had plenty of influence in the BCS right...?

People manipulated the vote in 2006 after Ohio State barely beat Michigan just because they didn't feel like seeing a tO$U vs. UM rematch. They intentionally voted Michigan down and out of the title game even though they were probably the 2nd best team that regular season according to the eye test.

Then you have that 2003 Sooners team that lost to Kanas State in the Big 12 championship and had no business being in the BCS championship game that year (should have been USC) but voters/coaches wanted to reward them for playing the extra game, so they stacked the polls and didnt vote them down far anyway, and they got in and lost (though you can blame the computers more for that one.)

People have always had a hand in the drama that was deciding the national champion. Just during the BCS it was less direct because computers had a larger roll than in these other systems.
