Don’t care. Red Sox did the right thing. Traded a player that didn’t want to be there. Verdugo and Downs aren’t Betts but it’s something for a player that wanted out.

Yea they did the right thing by trading him but got pennies back for a dollar basically.

Did he not want to be there cause they were reluctant to sign him long term or did he just want to move on regardless?

Red Sox offered him a bunch of deals. Last one was 10 for $300 mill. But at that point he rejected basically saying I’m testing free agency. I think they knew we wasn’t coming back. Dodgers got him for 12 for $362 million.

LeBron and Mookie are gunna do great things for our inner city youth

Mookie is the only Black American in either World Series roster. 1 out of 56. Mookie was the most exciting player in Game 1 and if that can encourage more Black and POC kids to stick with baseball then we’re all beneficiaries. Starts with youth baseball in the country being less systemically exclusive too.

Baseball so damn expensive
In South America, Cuba , Puerto Rico & Dominican Republic they play with a damn stick, rocks and beans so by the time they get to the majors that ball looks like a goddamn Beachball to them

This ump is all over the place, for both teams. Can't wait to see the ump report afterwards. Just randomly squeezing pitchers .
