Ya, but then I probably wouldn't have started a season opener of the same two teams.

League already got the Warriors starting the season on a east coast trip.

lakers/warriors would always play a few gms in the preseason since they were so close. think they would be in hawaii at the same time a couple yrs
i think they played one another early in the seasons as well

They definitely tried to keep the preseason matchups geographically close for the most part. What's confusing to me is that some teams (Celtics for instance) only have 2 games. Some others have 4.

The league doesn't schedule pre-season, the teams do it themselves between each other. I'm surprised the Lakers really lined up four pre-season games myself.

None of the principal players are probably playing in either of those preseason matchups anyway, at least that's what Bron was alluding to on that road trippin' episode. Hell AD may still not be signed by then.
