2020-21 NBA Offseason thread: Officially a wrap

Can’t lie it was fun watching Russ operate in space when we traded Clint. His playoffs performance was embarrassing though. Best of luck to bro. Wizards can grab the 7th seed now

Trade kinda sucks for both teams tbh, but that was probly one of the few deals available for both players right now

My guy Wall done found a new set of clubs to run thru tho :pimp:

The entire idea of a max salary in the NBA is silly and artificially caps the salary of star players. If the NBA really wanted to get rid of super teams and have true parity, the league would get rid of max salaries and keep the salary team wide salary cap.

The simple fact that players like Gordon Hayward make anywhere near as much money as truly elite players like LeBron, Harden, Durant, etc makes no sense. Truly elite players should be making $60m+ per year.

This would help curb superstar players teaming up because teams could only afford one true game changer and even if you have a truly elite player, the rest of your roster would suffer. for example, the Lakers might be able to have AD and LeBron but the rest of the roster would be League minimum players.
I dont know. A no salary cap would significantly help say Steve Ballmer. He'd spend $350M to win a ring. He's playing with different type of money than almost all of the other owners. Nobody would outbid him

Can see Wiz sneaking into #7/#8 seed in the East, off the strength of Russy & Beal. Re-signed Bertans, continued Rui growth, Deni's development, Bryant on a good contract.

Wall > Russ

How Rui and Deni supposed to develop with him on the team?

Beal trade request before AllStar
