2024 MLB Thread; RIP Willie Mays & Pete Rose. Dodgers win #8!

Based on the reputation of the league, I'm still inclined to believe the claims while completely disregarding the source

They were random as hell.

They could be 100% true but im gonna need more than that guy just saying a bunch of things. That chase utley one was the worst. No contet at all

When people accused pitchers, there were big spikes in rpm. That’s some good evidence. When Houston got accused, we got videos with trash can banging audio. If you want me to believe these claims, give me more than “trust me”

If Beltre did that for 81 games, and teams knew, someone must have video of it. Not saying it’s not true, but give me something

Might hit up some CC league games this summer. See some of the young talent. Games are free. A lot of major leaguers come through.

Here's a good one

Agreed he went about it like an amateur. If he could prove any of that stuff and had some evidence he's be able to pump out something legendary. Someone deaded it real quick though.

There's somehow no evidence of a guy swinging a white shirt in center field?

I don’t believe these reporters get to ask their own questions, at all.
They all ask the same shallow *** questions forcing one voice and it’s awful to hear.
God awful.

smh
Here comes another injury

(I hope Im wrong)

Nah, too much has been put into a glorified BP messing with players' second-half performance. I know folks have traditionally pointed to the Derby as a factor for poor second-half numbers or injuries but I've always been skeptical of that. I want to see 500+ feet from all the best thumpers: Ohtani, Tatis, Vlad, Judge, Stanton, everybody that has a couple homers >450ft or >110mph exit velo better be in that thing.

If they get 3 of the 5 other names you mentioned this could be an incredible derby. The timed format is one of the better changes to an exhibition event I can recall. I also agree that the derby has little to no effect on injuries or 2nd half performances. I mean these guys do prob over 100 BP's during the first half of the season and then one event where they go maybe 10-20% harder can do them in?!?! Not buying it lol.
