2023 Official MLB Season Thread

We have maybe 10 mil in wiggle room, I don't see Jake coming back to us for that. Would give us like 7 starters and zero trade deadline flexibility.

I don't see it.
 
Almost all teams do. They still won something.

I apologize Retro. I was dead wrong. It seems as if this is starting to become a thing. I know it hasnt always been this way, but it seems like teams are honoring their CS teams on the field more frequently these days.

It’s just a marketing ploy and a way to make a game seem more special than it is for the ticket-payers. I hate things like that, but multiple teams in recent years have done it. Ceremonies I understand, but rings shouldn’t be celebrated unless it’s THE Championship ring.

I mean, even the Giants held a 10-year anniversary ceremony for that 2002 SF team that lost to Anaheim.
 
Having a team reunion 10 years later is very different than having a NL Champs Ring Night 6 months later :lol:
