I've had my CC since December and I am trying to get another one. My credit score is 705 but the things holding it back are "age of credit history " and "total amount of accounts" .. So I just applied for a chase personal freedom card but I got denied because of my credit history age. What do you guys think I should do? Wait a bit and apply for another one or just try right away? Any recommendations? I want a card with cash back rewards and some kind of "spend $x in the first 3 months and get $x back" type of deal
I have a BOFA cash rewards card or whatever it's called
I told yal Chase is the hardest to get wouldn't recommend applying for them unless you have well established credit, very few inquiries and less than 5 new accounts.
If you're looking for more accounts, go to your bank or credit union wherever you're holding your money. Apply for a CC there and your chances will be higherI've had my CC since December and I am trying to get another one. Declines do not show on your credit report. Inquiries do.

Did you try calling the reconsideration line? You may be able to get approved if you talk to somebody. 5 months of history and a 700 score you should be able to get a recon for the freedom. But I agree with beezy chase is tough

Obviously I can't do anything about the credit age but I'm trying to sign up for a new card to help get the total accounts factor better
@Slicknick951
2 years for an inquiry to fall off, 1 year for it to stop effecting your score.

So since I got declined for the chase card it's going to affect my score ? Is that what u mean by inquiry?
Rotating monthly dealsI see a lot of Discover IT talk, what are the benefits?

Inquiries affect your score whether your are approved or denied. Albeit it's only a small drop (like 5 points per inquiry maybe). Inquiries are when your credit is pulled by a bank or credit agency when you apply for credit, a loan, or get a credit check done.
Try calling the reconsideration line though. You may be approved and it won't hurt to try. Won't be another hard pull or anything.
