Whats your personal thought about this?

I went searching for what exactly is going to happen and all the pages mostly led to scripture quotes which i don't wanna decipher.

I just want to know what (in general) is expected to happen.

And then I want to know, if it turns out to be just a normal day with no significant events happening, what will be the excuse for the ones who believe that this is the day of judgement?
