What's up ya'll! Wanted to make a thread just about retro gaming. In this particular case, let's use 'RETRO' to refer to gaming that happened prior to the current and previous generation of gaming consoles. So anything before Xbox 360/PlayStation 3/Wii will be fine in here.

First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Mark... better known as MarkMan. Aside from my love for sneakers, I also really love video games and arcade sticks. I'm really into fighting games (and the community) along with classic gaming/collecting.

I thought it'd be nice to get a thread started here on NT for everyone to share their passion of older games. I'm extremely busy with work so I don't get to enjoy games as much as I do, especially the current stuff. When I do have free time, I like to play the classics.

I was just reminded today about my love for DuckTales on the NES. I also really loved the 2013 DuckTales -REMASTERED- and thought it was brilliant. I was a bit inspired so I wrote about the limited edition gold NES DuckTales that Capcom made and put a blog post on my site. Check it out: http://markman23.com/2014/05/17/ducktales-remastered-gold-edition/

That being said, what are some of your favorites? I'm curious to know.

Been playing this lately.

Personal Faves are LoZOT, LoZMM, LoZWW, Pokemon Crystal, SM64, Banjo-Tooie, Paper Mario, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Party 2, 007 Golden Eye,

SSBM, Golden Sun: The Lost age, Sonic adeventure 2.

Huge Nintendo fan. Got mad love for the N64, it all started with SM64.

Love this thread.
Mark, do you plan to release a stick with LS-40 and Seimitsu buttons using the Astro/Noir layout. JLF sucks for old school fighting games and arcade shooters.
Everything is Sanwa parts. Vewlix layout this days.

My girl's coworker just gave her (i.e. me) a Sega Genesis with Sonic 3D, Madden 95...a bunch of stuff. If I see this thread going later I'll grab a pic.

Need to resume on this tho.

FF 8 is my ****!:hat

BRUH... If you've already finished the game, read this. If not, SPOILERS!!!

http://squallsdead.com/

At the end of disc one, Squall and Friends face Edea on a parade float in Deling City. After the fight, when Edea seems defeated, she conjures an enormous ice shard and propels it through Squall’s chest. Squall stumbles back and falls off the platform. He sees Rinoa above, reaching to him as he falls. Squall closes his eyes and dies. The entire remaining game time, from the beginning of disc two to the second half of the ending movie, is a dream.

Yo! No current plans to do anything with Seimitsu, but if you follow my work you'll know that there is definitely going to have compatible options for Seimitsu's most popular options (IE LS-56/LS-32 and of course the buttons).

I'm a big fan of the Noir layout so I wouldn't be surprised if we see more options there as well.

Sanwa/Vewlix unfortunately is just the standard really.

Personally I prefer Noir. :)

That era of RPGs on SNES was hands down some magical stuff.

Chrono Trigger

Super Mario RPG

Final Fantasy II

Final Fantasy III

Earthbound

Secret of Mana

and so much more!
