ADIDAS BBall Boost Thread - BYW, Crazy Explosive & Crazy Light & OTHER BBALL ADJACENT SNEAKERS

should have kept the 3 stripes on the tongue. :{

Really looking forward to these on court.  I've got a couple pair of boost shoes and they are incredible. I just wish we didn't have to wait until October for them to release. I never understood why they reveal sneakers so far in advance of the actual release date.

Well the Cray Light Boost comes out in a few days.

Yea, but since they don't have full length boost I have no desire for them. And I've seen a couple diff release dates-some Aug 1 and some in sept.

Crazylight Boost

At 11.6 ounces, the Crazylight Boost remains exceptionally light and every element of the shoe is constructed to maximize the energy benefit of Boost. This includes performance elements such as ShockWeb overlay reinforcement for strength, support and premium style, a soft mesh upper for increased comfort and breathability and an all-new collar design with a unique cut that offers the mobility of a low-top and stability of a mid.

A variety of team and special colorways of the Crazylight Boost will be available, including player editions for Lillard and Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio.

The Crazylight Boost features horizontal three stripes placement across the toe to create a sleek, fast aesthetic. The shoe also boasts distinctive gradient color schemes for diverse style to stand out on the court.

D Rose 5 Boost

The D Rose 5 Boost is the ultimate signature shoe to outfit Derrick Rose on and off the court. It features adidas’ most innovative technology and personal details ever included on a shoe in the D Rose signature collection. The D Rose 5 Boost offers full shoe length Boost cushioning technology designed for heightened energy return and step-in comfort to ensure maximum performance.

Performance elements include an all-new EVA fit-cage that provides strength and support and an updated Sprintweb for light-weight support and breathability. The fit-cage also serves as the core base for all colorways of the D Rose 5, which feature unique and personal finishes and colors.

Signature details are woven throughout the design of the D Rose 5 Boost that reveal insights into Derrick, his family and his path to success.

I copped the crazylight boost today in the Collegiate Green CW, they seem like decent mids and I hope the boost holds up. Ill do a performance test shortly once i have a few games in em.

Have they released in the US already? I see rubio got a blue sig CW in em also..

Ive been playing in these a few days now and a few things Ive noticed, the fit is great, it’s a 5/8 cut shoe with low to the ground stance giving them great court feel. Size runs slightly long but I would go TTS for the most part, the lacing stops a bit short giving some dead space in the toebox but it dosent make them loose or sloppy.

The offset on these must be very low as my calfs were hurting me after playing in them, not in a bad way just felt I was putting more pressure on my calfs when running/jumping.
Traction is very good, the forefoot cushioning isn’t great feels like a thin layer of phylon but hardly adiprene or “boost” tec in the forefoot. Heel is decent, I had a worry they would be a bit soft but they give decent support and have some “bounce” to them its not a game changer tho..

In terms of weight they are hardly “crazylight” my sz 12 came in over 13oz, far from the 11 advertised. Compared to the hyperdunk they come in about the same weight as the 2014s, here you can see the 2013s are 1oz more in same size.

Overall Id give them a solid 8/10, I like the fit more than the hyperdunk 2014 and the traction is better IMO, they wont be for everyone if you’re a guard or light on your feet these are ideal, for bigger post players the upper might be a little soft and the forefoot cushioning may be an issue if your carrying weight. Ankle support was as good as it gets for a mid, they offer much better support than a Kobe yet they allow great range of motion and good traction.

^^Nice review.  The lack of forefoot boost is the killer for me, especially since I've read a few places now that not only is there no boost, the phylon is thin and sub par.  Hurry up DRose 5!

In terms of fit I would say these are similar to the Hyperdunk 2011s, (Narrow in the forefoot) the material in the upper is a synthetic mesh material (seamless on the inside) making them feel like a flyknit. The ventilation could be better but its not a major issue for me its more down the the material than the breathability, I still find the fit to be the best feature, the lock-down is great for a shoe without a strap, the heel counter works well with the stableframe and the outsole is good and wide which is good for traction. I would say its an ideal alternative to a Kobe or KD shoe than a lebron type shoe.

Im looking forward to trying out the D.Rose 5 cus if they are anything like these they will be a great performer with added cushioning and support.

These are already on sale at adidas. Thinking about scooping the white pair for basketall purposes. I don't understand why adidas hoops shoes don't sell...

BHM are beautiful. Wonder if they'll release.
