Howdy,

I bought a pair of 2018 Jordan 3 Black Cements and I'm not 100% sure they are legit. My main cause for concern is the fact that they do not have the size printed on the shoe under the insole (which I believe they should have and my black cement 4s have). The elephant print also looks a little off at one point on the right shoe where it's much closer spaced and doesn't match the rest of the shoe. Everything else looks pretty good though.

Any help you guys could give would be great as I don't have a legit pair to compare them with.

Thanks!

Would like to see more pics of the shoe overall if possible. The sticker inside the shoe appears to represent an overseas pair.

Thanks for getting back to me. I added some more pics. Mostly they look pretty good. Another odd thing is that although the insole is usually stuck down it had already been lifted on one of the shoes (I assume to perform the same check).

Big thanks to JRepp23 who got back to me seperately to say everything looks legit to him. Keep up the good work :D

Just wondering though, has anyone else heard that there should be a size printed on the inside of the shoe under the insole? That's what I've seen in a few of these "how to verify your Jordan 3 Black Cements" youtubes but maybe it's not really a thing? There is so much contradictory info out there that it would make you crazy!

Here’s my size 10.5 from SNKRS I bought back in July of 2018 when they restocked and you seem to be right in regard to the size being stamped or printed on the footbed. I just pulled my pair and removed the insole to see what was there.

Size tag? I want to see what the production line code is. Mine is LN4.

Oh damn you’re right. I don’t think I would have caught that if you hadn’t mentioned it. Good call man.
The size tag on his pair looks new. Not like ours. Is it possible that those pics were taken a few years ago or were they just taken? The red at this point should have bled through the border of the tag.

Are there any legit/confirmed pairs with the LMN production codes? I have a pai r of store bought Blck Cat 13s with LNM codes on them.

His misalighned EUR touching the top bar matches mine. Still not ready to call thse fake.

I would think it would have bled through by now as well. I personally didn’t see anything in his pics that looked off as far as the shoes but again, I definitely wouldn’t have picked out the dye not showing through on the size tags.

Thanks for the replies guys. It's much appreciated. I only took the pics 2 days ago so they are not old. Maybe the red dye on the size tag has never bled through because they are unworn? Perhaps the heat/sweat from your feet causes this to happen.

I'm with you guys really, mostly they look legit but I'm not able to explain why they wouldn't have the size printed on the footbed if they were legit. Seems an odd thing to do sometimes and not others. I know even my Bred 4s from 2019 have it too, just like in Greg's pic and I've seen other pics of Black Cement 3's that also have it.

So far I'm yet to find anyone who has a legit pair which don't have it :frown:

Yeah that’s definitely strange because as you said, everything looks good except the size being stamped on the footbed. The pics I took of my BC 3’s are actually deadstock so I’m not sure why the red isn’t showing around the borders on yours. This is now going to drive me crazy until we find out. I wasn’t even aware of the size being on the footbed until you mentioned it but anyway, let’s hope someone can shed some light on this. A buddy of mine also collects and buys from a reputable source so I’ll shoot him a message and ask him to send me pics of his including the size tag and footbed.

Cheers Greg,

Would be great if you could check with your buddy as to be honest I'm about ready to call these fake!

Thanks for all the help so far.

Im still not ready to dismiss them quite yet. So I looked up several size 10.5s on Ebay. Yes, I know its Ebay lol. But seriously, all of the pairs I looked at were from line LNM. And really none of those pairs looked questionable imo. I know Greg Surels Greg Surels were from LN4 matching mine but my thought is just maybe Production Line LNM did not stamp the 10.5 under the insole. Something quite believable due to its simple procedure that may have been miscommunicated.
So I am asking people on the BC3 thread to let me know what there Production line code is so maybe they can look under their insoles seeing if the 10.5 stamp is there or not. If majority says its not, then it could simply come down to a non compliance from that Prod LNM resulting in your pair still bieng real.

I went back to try and find out where I got the idea that the size should be on the footbed and I saw it in a youtube video (I know these are no always reliable). However, I noticed that his real pair are the same size and factory code as mine (10.5, LNM).

Looking at the video I noticed a few things:
  1. The size tag on his real pair does look thicker and is not showing the dye around the edges as much as the fake pair (so perhaps this is just a factory thing with LNM)
  2. The production dates on his real pair from LNM do not match the dates on mine. (Does this happen i.e. different production dates for the same factory code? Seems odd).
  3. His pair do have the 10.5 stamped on the footbed.
I took some screenshots of the two main parts and I've added some links to the video below.

Size on Footbed:

Ahh, man. I just noticed something else (after seeing it in another video). The printing on the footbed of Greg's is red and mine is black. I'm pretty sure these are fakes :frown:

So I pulled my Hall Of Fame 3’s from the most recent release and they are from the LNM line. I also pulled my Tinker 3’s and they are from the LN3 line. Both have the size stamped in black and not red like my Black Cement 3’s do. I also watched some of the comparison videos you posted. I noticed on the authentic pair that he has, the size is also stamped in black.

Thanks for research. It's a huge help. So maybe the black/red thing is not an issue but it looks like the missing size is. In the meantime I've gotten back the seller to inform them that as far as I'm concerned they are fake. They've asked for pics so we'll see what they say.

Best of luck man. Let us know what happens.

Where did you order these from, out of curiosity? Difficult to tell by those pictures.
