As we approach the end of the year and hear into 2025,.... Know the Air Jordan XL (40) has been designed and probably getting some technology revamp as we speak,.... Wondering will they keep the ZoomX setup with the full length Zoom Air Strobe?!? One thing we know for sure the show will likely be designed to be a premium and luxury setup and the Jordan 10 will have some influences .... I'm sure the fit should be close to what we got from the XXXIX (39) the shoe definitely set a standard as far comfort and stability!!! I look forward to seeing what they come up As I will be adding a couple of pairs to my collection,.... Also I'm looking forward to you all's support of this thread And news post and pics here also!!!! So let's get this started everyone??

Shoes are designed about 18 months in advance, meaning they’re already working on the AJ 41.

I don’t have pics but I remember sketches from Tinker’s design for the XX with 2003 dates on them, when it released in ‘05

I would imagine they will keep with the luxury and light weight concept and with new technology and techniques coming online at Nike, I don't see why Jordan Brand wouldn't step into it early?!? I could imagine a XL(40) with the newly revealed 3D printed mudguard that would allow for the classic Jordan 10 panel on the sides of the shoe and I wouldn't mind seeing it raised at the heel of the shoe to conclude the Jumpman logo, again continuing with a drop in insole made of Zoom X foam with a full length Zoom Strobel unit,.... Up too a combination of leather and fly weave with a internal lacing system to improve lockdown! With a 3D printed sole the Jordan Brand story can be told beyond what was told on the Jordan X(10) sole.... Maybe the story can be told of Jordan Brand Athletes?!? Also nlI ow too, a true mid shoe, maybe with a inner Lycra sock liner to improve movement at the ankle!! The 3D printing would keep weight low already, then add to that the use of fly weave, and have it all attached by classic stitching at the mudguard!!!

Definitely could see the signing of Trae Young could be a great leap forward for this shoe,... The brand definitely could use some superstars to develop new techniques and technology, especially with so many Jordan Brand Athletes with signature shoes,.... I can see Trae Young getting a signature shoes, but not until at least the 2026 season, as they will have to give him a shoe that fits his style of play and fits he's personal style!!! We will surely get the Luka 4, Tatum 4, and Zion 4 in 2025, likely seeing the Zion 4 arrive around NBA All-star weekend, and Luka by Summer 2025, with Tatum by Fall if 2025, with the Jordan XL(40) arriving sometime in the Fall of 2025!!!

"Offensive game like Mike...Defensive game like Marcus..." on the bottom of the shoe.

We maybe could see the XL. Not sure because only the 30 had the Roman numerals incorporated into the design. The 10 & 20 didn’t.

I’m curious to know if they’ll incorporate any 3d printing??? I would think that the criticism with Nike not being innovative as a reason for sales decline might be a reason to put some form of 3d printing into what’s supposed to be the flagship basketball sneaker in the industry.

And when I mention 3d printing, I’m not talking about the midsole or whatever. Nike was at one point printing uppers on their elite running shoes.

Also, could we see yet another, more advanced version of a laceless sig like the 33? Maybe an even better implementation of that idea?

I think JB should be going all out for the 40. Tech, materials, etc. Especially because with the 40, we’re getting right into that 10-14 og range and those models, if JB is still using the previous og’s as some inspiration, are some of the most coveted, bold and appreciated designs in the entire lineup. And those designs deserve the utmost respect.

I’m just super curious to see what they’ll be doing from the 40 on out!

I wonder if X and L will be featured on the shoe.
As far as I know expect JB to go with XXXX (cause it's JB).

As for Zion 4s heard they will be the last in the line, and with Luka continually reverting back to wearing the 1s I would not be surprised to see JB roll with Luka & Tatum as signature athletes for the time being and have the current big names - Trae & Paolo - headline the flagship before determining next steps. The rookies signed this year don't scream signature athlete in my eyes, and the rest of the roster seems well fit to cycle between flagship and team models.

As I heard it Jordan Brand has plans for Zion, Luka, And Tatum 4 's and going beyond that with Tate Young receiving a signature shoes in the coming 2025-2026 Season, as the brand are trying to hone the style of play that he has.... Paolo will definitely be in the Air Jordan XL (40) As he's already been showing a push in his stardom,.... I am sure he will end up with a signature shoe line, again showcasing it in the Air Jordan XXXIX(39)... The New rookies aren't showing up to much but let's face it Jordan Brand rollout for the XL(40) will show some of them too?!?

Interesting that you mentioned Trae Young will have an sig. I really anticipated he’d be one of the faces of the flagship along with Paolo.
That would 4 Jordan brand athletes with signature models with the addition of Trae. Wonder if Zion will be phased out?

Come on now Trae Young wouldn't go to Jordan Brand and leave Adidas which he had a signature line there if it wouldn't have included a signature shoe line,... The Air Jordan XL(40) will definitely see Trae and Paolo wear them, but we will see them move onto other models to keep the brand fresh!!! I doubt that Zion line will end so soon, because the brand hasn't made the money they should have made with all his injury time off,... Which is visibility to buyers?!?

I think the Roman numerals started on the 11s. Number of model indicator started on the seven I believe. Here are some other examples. Anyone have any other info maybe the six and the eight?
