86 hi’s finally touched down and I’ve got some thoughts.
I don’t think they look quite as good as some of the stock pics portray but they look a hell of lot better in person than they do in the post release pics and videos I’ve seen. But that’s mostly because the of the tongue which is a huge sheet of suede without much stricture to it.
even though the silhouettes are very different I still get OG 750 vibes because of the material and outsole which is a plus to me a fan of the 750.
Other than that, the shoe is gonna live and die by how you lace them up and how your pants interact with them. The more I messed around with them and the laces and tongue more I was lining them on feet. I’m still figuring it out but tall socks and shorts might be the wave for these.
Is it worth getting? Yes. Is it worth paying retail? Probably not in a world where you can get them on discount. $159 on goat was great sweet spot.
