Grabbed these a few weeks ago from a local shop, good price for the pristine condition. The Infrared 6 was my first Jordan ever, these came next...when I was that age I wasn't much into white shoes, but this was the only release at the time. Then about a week or 2 later I see a kid in my gym class with the "black" pair (bordeaux) and all I could think was "damn jeff isn't cool enough to have the black Jordan's I want" lol

I remember the Hares and Bordeaux came out the same day in Feb 92’. 8th grade. Seems like the Bordeaux did sell better, I saw a lot more people with those than the Hares.

Apologies for bumping old thread but I'm tossing up between a pair of the 2015 Bordeaux and Hare 7's and wanting to know which of the 2 do ppl think would be closest to the respective og?
I've watched all videos and skimmed most of both threads. FWIW am leaning Bordeaux.

Def Bords, however they have a weird toe bump that was discussed at length in that respective release’s thread. Even considering that, everything else with the release was damn near exact to the OG.

I hope they retro these again. I straight up LOST my pair.
Was moving and got into a car accident and totaled a car, thought I moved all my pairs to the other vehicle and then realized a few weeks later I was missing these.

That really sucks but glad you’re okay though.. Shoes can always be replaced-can’t say the same thing about your life though.

This is one of my all time favorites. Had to cop 2 of the 2015 release just the other day. Back when it came out with the 16s in the pack I bought it just for the hares and sold the 16s right off top.

It’s funny seeing this thread resurrected after five years. Jordan Brand needs to retro more OG 7 color ways.
I bought two pairs of these when they came out because it’s such an easy sneaker to get dirty. The pair I did wear has only been worn like 6 or 8 times max. They are still perfectly clean though.

NT is weird now. It’s not funny it’s typical that this thread gets dug back up because that’s the status quo here now. Look at the first page of threads. It’s all huge old threads lmao
We used to have new threads for the most part with a few old huge threads needing to die sprinkled throughout the first couple pages. Now it’s the opposite lol it’s fascinating. Most forums frown upon bumping old threads but not here
If we’re gonna have a stickied sneaker care and maintenance thread we should just start over and have the current one available as an archive for searching through (which I have done but not many people are paying attention to the new posts). Nobody wants to read through all that. But it would be cool to see what methods for keeping soles icy are the best in 2020. I just remember sea glow blowing up but now it seems like everyone has their own “sauce”.
I understand keeping old threads like this for a particular release though. I do like that it does compartmentalize. But the sneaker care and maintenance thread. You can’t even see the pics anymore in a lot of it.

Crazy right? I had to double check even though the whole page was letting me know the concept, fair and square.
You should definitely PM him. He's prolly busy doing other customs but I guess he's made a queue system or something.
Edit: Also that really shows to what extent the two-tone suede, black fading to charcoal, adds up to the appeal of the OG's. Hope the 2022's retro will feature that as well as a sharper shape.

Make no mistake: JB hates the VII.
They treat 'em as dirty as AJ2: less-frequent releases, terrible new CWs to purposely make em sit, etc... At least the 2s unpopularity makes sense with Jordan's history and the look in general.
2015 was supposed to be the 23rd Anniversary / " Year of the 7" and they chose not to drop the Olympics, and released those foul- "alternates"
