What place has the best beach experience in Texas?

What I mean by beach experience is being able to go on a boat and fish by day and nice bars or clubs at night. I heard South Padre Island is totally dead when its not Spring break. Is this so? 

How are Corpus Christi/Port Aransas?

How is Galveston?

it wasnt dead at all. there were hotties out, it was the end of summer vacation but i was only 16 so i didnt go to any clubs. sorry man.
