Sad world we live in B. The city is saying based on codes and statutes, he's actually running a shelter, which the property is not built for. What's saddening is that it seems they're more concerned with stopping him than they are with helping those in need.

Every city should have enough shelters for homeless people. It's better for them of course and it's depressing to see people in that position, on the streets. It's just a bad look all around. But this is America where it's money over morals.

As many ramshackle houses I seen in Jamaica and Guyana never so much as catch fire or fall over and these ninnies complaining about egress windows....chuh... better to let them freeze and starve on the street right!?

I'm guessing it was some nosy neighbor more concerned for her property value than human life.

It's the litigious nature of the society. Got a problem? Sue. There is no community trust anymore. Let the government handle it. So the government in handling made sure to cover its butt by making so many rules you can't help but be breaking one of them at any given time.
