Childhood Memories vol. the good ole days...

I feel like an old head yall.. and I'm only 21! I have an 11-year-old sister whose life is run by technology. Internet games, xbox 360, text messaging...she sounds like me on my down time

... but thats not what I did when Iwas around her age

Here's some of my childhood memories... post yours!

... maybe this was just me, but I would buy the big pack of candies (i.e. Snickers, gums, etc.) and sell them individually

Dry humping on the way to school (the cheese bus rides were the best thing about school)
Fighting
Being carefree! (I hate being "grown" lol)

collecting x-men cards,b-ball cards,and comics,i was a huge fan of IMAGE comics,stuff like deathblow,savage dragon,wildcats,cyberforce,brings a tear to my eyethat i have to sell some of what call some jim lee's best art

playing ball at the "neighborhood" b-ball court(meaning some court setup in your neighborhood,)you didnt know the people that owned it,hardly sawthem and when you did it didnt seem like they had kids.
going to the mercado(huge amc in santa clara,ca)every week of every summer catching all the movies,waiting in 2 hour lines to catch movies like rushhour,spiderman,independence day,men in black,the matrix
hanging up posters of, destinys child,christina aguilera,og britney spears one side,lakers and cowboys gear on the other,and an MJ shrine over my bed.

never having to worry about having a job for money,just had to mow the lawn,cleaning the house,taking out the trash,cleaning out the bathtub(which i stillhated doing)

you could be best friends with a girl and your feelings wouldnt complicate things.

I remember when I was younger. My dad used to make home videos of my sister and I just having fun watching tv and being kids. We used to do plays and makeshows and stuff. I had fun when I was a kid. I also remember how my family used to be so close. Not anymore though. I barely see any of my family anymore

skateboarding on one knee and pushing with the other..moms use to patch all my jeans

throwing rocks at school when it would be really foggy in the mornings
watching rocky IV over and over again...
field trips- planning a week ahead how you were going to get the seat on the bus next to that girl
freaking on the dance floor for the first time

so many good memories...good post

man when i was younger everyone my age just wanted to play. We played hide and seek and tag and random games we made up. In the summer time we used to runthrough the sprinkler and everything. Now everyone just wants to walk around and get in trouble. So lame..
