I remember that very issue well too. I got my first pair of J's from eastbay that year. I remember lovin the 12s when they came out but moms wasnt tryingto shell out the dough on some kicks for $100+ She said her limit was $80, so I put up the rest and got me the OG black/red 12s for 90 bucks! on a sad note,they ended up gettin jacked from my locker in school while I was in weightlifting class. To this day those are my favorite Jordans, they arent the BEST, butthey hold a lot of sentimental value to me. Plus I also ended up gettin the 03 retros from a buddy of mine DS for $130. I love those shoes, they are built liketanks.
