all i have is 256 MBs of RAM, and im tryin to play WoW but its waaay too laggy.

I have 3 gigs. I would recommend at least 2gb. You should be able to get two sticks of 1gb ram fairly cheap. Check out frys.com and maybe newegg. first go tocrucial.com and run the test to see which kind of ram u need

256MBs??? how old is this comp? go out and buy some memory sticks lol

installing is a snap BTW.. like inserting a SNES cartridge.. dont let those Geek squad ppl rip you off!!

you're telling me, try running vista on 512 and tell me how slow it is. if anyone knows a good steal on 1 gig and up please help a brother out.

No one in this thread thought to ask what computer dude was using? I bet his rig is so old it only supports 512

nah but seriously you need to find out how much your board supports.

Mine supports 4 gigs and I use 2 gigs however with XP going over 2 gigs is not reccomended. In fact it might and probably will slow your system down if you goover 2 gigs.

EDIT: Dude said he had a dimension 2400 ... here's the specs

http://NOTE: Between 32 and 64 MB of system memory may be allocated to support graphics, depending on system memory size and other factors.

So in conclusion you need to buy TWO of these:

chips since your system only supports a gig. Also I reccomend buying a new video card which i think is an AGP card on your system you can find like a geforcefx 5200 for like 50 bucks and that should get you by playing at gimp settings.
