Converse All Star Pro BB - EVO Release = AUG 1 2020

Wonder how these will be too hoop in. I'm so used to carbon fiber plates that I worry if too much flex in the midfoot will cause issues.

They look awesome.

@converse announced that they signed Chinese Basketball Player Abdusalam Abdurexiti to a first endorsement deal in today

I'm sure the NBA has some guys in mind already. Maybe like with Puma's comeback Converse will try to get a couple of the top draft picks to sign.

I’d imagine so. Some guys I could see Booker, Tatum, DLo, or Morant (going lottery pick).

Kinda odd to say but I might grab a pair just for normal wear. I stay with some chucks on so these might work

Basically a high cut version of the kobe nxt 360. The tooling is seriously the same thing.

Just to clarify, the drop-in insole / midsole on these appears to be 100% React cushioning, whereas the Kobe AD NXT 360s were a mix of React and Lunarlon (it’s possible that these are a mix as well, but all of the information I’ve read so far seems to suggest that it’s exclusively react).

Also, the upper seems to be different, based on the language I’ve seen surrounding the announcement - but it’s not clear how much of that is Nike’s marketing department vs. actual differences in the materials.

As for price, as far as I’m concerned, anything $150 or under would be well-priced.

The Kobe AD NXT 360s were $200, and the Nike Hyperdunk 2017 was $160 for Flyknit and $140 for non-flyknit (using the Hyperdunk as another point of comparison since it’s a non-sig shoe that also used React).

Nike/Converse would also probably want to price these strategically - anything too low, and they risk relegating the relaunch of converse’s basketball line to the ranks of teardown models (after all, if they price a marquee launch model too low, where do they go with subsequent models that aren’t sigs?)

I’d argue that $140 is the sweet spot for them, with $125 probably being the floor before I’d start worrying about the possible scenario I outlined above. Just my 2 cents though.

chucks colorways would be awesome, make people think you're playing in old school kicks

I think the design of these is simple and clean enough where you could do them in solid TB colors, maybe all with white laces to resemble the original Chucks.

Those will probably be mines for next season. I m one of the few who stick to high cut....
Can t wait to see other colors

Kelly Oubre is now Converse.

I really like both pairs. I want to own one. I do not want to pay $140. Hoping they sit.

drop-in midsole REACT looks pretty awesome. comes pretty high around the foot/heel. Better than what the Kobe11 and such offerred

different one with a different midsole, might not have a drop-in react?

maybe a cheaper alternative?

laceuphk says its another bball shoe that leaked via weibo (i think thats chinas version of twitter)

i am definitely looking forward to getting a pair, i also have those drop-in full length zoom from the older kobe lines and i do not see reason why those couldn't work...

I know this is already a must buy at retail. But have there been a store list? Want to be able to try it for size before taking him straight to gym. Normal Converse size is usually half of almost full size down for me.
