Country Music Thread? Vol. Am I alone?

Anyone else on NT listen to country music?

I’m pretty immersed in country music.. most of the old and a lot of the new.

Not too much a fan of “pop country”, I’m talking about actual country / western music. But open to discussing pop country as well since it’s technically under the umbrella.

Or am I alone?

Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers are probably the best modern country artists rn. Bro-Country is so lame.

Those are a couple of my personal favorites as well. I wish Sturgill didn’t retire after his vocal injury.. I had tickets to see him and Tyler on their 2020 tour that Covid cancelled.

The only person I like more than Sturgill and Tyler is Colter Wall. But he’s a lot more western and more like Cowboy music than overall “country” music. I classify him as “country & western”
