DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

Tim Burton’s Batman hit theaters 30 years ago and LEGO is marking the occasion by releasing a Batmobile replica that consists of over 3,300 pieces.

Set to be launched on Black Friday, the Batmobile measures over 23 inches (60 cm) long and is pretty faithful to the iconic movie car. As you can see, it has pronounced front fenders, a unique grille and massive side scoops. There’s even a slide open cockpit, a detailed interior and “decorative grappling hooks.”

The highlights don’t end there as the replica has a number of authentic details from the movie. These include hidden machine guns, that pop up from the under the hood when you turn the exhaust turbine.

Besides the Batmobile, the set come with three minifigs including Batman, The Joker and Vicki Vale. All of them are new for 2019 and feature a design that is inspired by the movie.

Since the model was meant to be a display piece, it comes with a rotating stand and an information plaque. The latter notes the size of the movie car and says the model could accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.7 seconds. The set also comes with a stand and accessories for the minifigs.

The set costs $249.99 ($299.99 CAD / £219.99 / €249.99) and customers who purchase one between November 29th and December 5th will receive a mini replica while supplies last. It consists of 366 pieces and is less detailed than the full size model. However, it has some interesting features of its own including functional machine guns that fire small plastic pieces.

Model is cool but it doesn't scale correctly to the mini-figs. Maybe they should've used the Technic-man instead?

They shot the whole Joker movie in the Bronx right? I knew it was only one place in NY that could still capture that

Nevermind I see they shot most in the Bronx and Newark NJ

AVENGERS: ENDGAME Directors Joe & Anthony Russo To Produce New Marvel Vs. DC Docu-Series SLUGFEST

In a surprising announcement, the video platform Quibi has greenlit Slugfest, a new documentary series executive produced by Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo with Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce attached to direct.

Inspired by the book Slugfest: Inside the Epic, 50-year Battle Between Marvel and DCS, the planned docu-series will “reflect on the symbiotic relationship between DC and Marvel, whose rivalry pushed the medium to its greatest heights.”

While exact details on which events they will explore are still largely under wraps, it has been noted that they’ll be looking at 1976’s monumental Superman vs. Spider-Man comic.

Wondering if Reeves is playing this like it's just normal casting or if this Batman movie is super black on purpose.

Like if Gotham is gonna be some 90s Bronx/Brooklyn mashup.

So far other than Pattinson and whoever gets cast as Penguin and Alfred damn near the entire cast black as if Batman is fighting crime in Queensbridge.

I would imagine that there’s legal reasons why the Snyder Cut can’t get released at this point. On top of that, WB would be literally buying the rope to hang themselves if they release the Snyder cut. You’re either going to release it and it’s not going to be any good subjecting you to even more ridicule or you release it and it’s miraculously amazing and now everyone is urging you to continue an interconnected universe with a big team up that you not only just broke away from, you don’t even have the same key pieces in place to replicate. You’d have a gun to your head to renew Cavill’s contract as Superman and put your new actor playing Batman behind the eight ball. Don’t even get me started on how loud the voices to bring Snyder back could become. There is righteously no long term benefit in releasing the Snyder cut. But who are we kidding, WB doesn’t know anything but bad decisions :smh:

🤦‍♂️

Can this thing just die already...4 hours of unedited green screen footage with incomplete CGI...........Will. Not. Make. This. Movie. Better...

Imagine being handed a piece of **** with corn in it...Then demanding a similar looking piece of **** without the corn in it...That’s exactly what this release the Snyder cut movement is...

Maybe a couple decades from now somebody will get up some funds to do a documentary on this mess 🤷‍♂️...
