Just a tidbit below and if you think #8 n his pops and his agent (who was buddies with Jerry West) did not have some kind of pull around the league then you are silly

"Bryant canceled a workout with the Sacramento Kings, who had the No. 14 pick in the first round in 1996 and declined to work out for the Hornets. His agent, Arn Tellem, also told the Hornets, according to Bass, that Bryant did not want to play in a small market such as Charlotte." Bill Baker, The Times-Picayune

So @#$%^& stupid.  So basically, you are listening to the GM that TRADED AWAY Kobe Bryant, and what he "remembers" in 2009.

Ya know, cuz Joe Jelly Bean Bryant has so much pull around the league.

Find me a link, a solid draft recap story, from 1996 that says Kobe demanded a trade.  That's what I am looking for, not revisionist history 15 years later and GM's trying to make themselves look less stupid.

pretty much, there's never been a legit article about kobe demanding a trade, not one at all, it's all a bunch of hearsay, and you know what even if he did what does that matter? john elway was going to play baseball for the yankees because he didn't want to play for the colts, he forced a trade to denver became one of the best qb's in nfl history and him forcing a trade because he didn't want to be a colt is seldomly mentioned.

all i'm saying is if you don't like kobe the person  then it is what it is, but going out of your way to deny his accomplishments and disparage anything he did makes your opinion come across as very biased and most of the time shouldn't be taken seriously especially when other players are given passes for anything wrong they did. all i'm saying is if your going to go out of your way to disparage any little thing kobe does then call it fairly all the way and do the same thing and critique every little thing your favorite player did too.

Yep, had it non been for that horrible call on Pippen.

Pippen led the bulls to 55 wins without MJn and could've won the regular season MVP, arguably should of been in alot of peoples eyes...

But you know how it is, everyone likes to think of Pippen as simply a sidekick, wasn't that good without MJ you know? Even if it's not true.

evven though there's so much agreeing and disagreeing in these threads you already know anything  lebron, kobe, or jordan relatated will go 20+ pages if it isn't locked.

someone could make a "kobe took a dump and the poop came out shaped like a triangle" thread and it would go 20+ pages most likely

Perfect example of how MJ made his team better...being able to step away that long n come back like nothin n keep on killin
pimp.gif
not everyone can achieve that. Won't go into any last decade laker examples
wink.gif
but just now not many could do that.

FYI,that whole team that MJ left behind n which he instilled his competitive nature plus Phil led them to keep winning and don't underestimate the "getting over the hump" part because hell the bucks won last year n won in the playoffs too but that getting over the hump part is no joke, hence why they needed MJ either way...
